Whether you're sharing your expertise, showing up to support an event, or helping build the Labs from the ground up, there's plenty of ways to get involved and make your mark.
The Comms Team is responsible for building awareness of The Upskilling Labs’ mission and attracting new participants, volunteers, and partners. We are not just a marketing function - we handle branding, PR, philanthropic communications, and storytelling across all channels. We are looking for creative, passionate communicators who can help us amplify what's possible. We are the voice and visual identity of everything we do. More than marketing. We’re the mission's megaphone.
We support our programming and engagement teams with internal communications too, keeping participants informed and inspired every step of the way.
The Governance Team provides strategic oversight and direction for The Upskilling Labs. They ensure the organization stays true to its mission, makes sound decisions, and has the resources needed to grow and sustain its programs.
The Participant Success Team supports Upskillers throughout their Upskilling Labs journey. We ensure people are engaged, supported, and making progress towards their Upskilling goals. Not only do we perform a membership function for the organization, we also support teams (Pods) working through a build cycle, checking in on progress, surfacing challenges, and collecting and analysing data for continuous improvement.
The Programming Team organizes a variety of events, including workshops, panels, and meetups. Their work creates the spaces where learning happens, connections are made, and ideas come to life. If you enjoy bringing people together around meaningful experiences, this is the team for you.
The R&D team builds and maintains the technical infrastructure that powers Upskilling Labs, from the website to the infrastructure that enables seamless community engagement.
Event Management
You will help with event management, which could include any combination of venue coordination, scheduling, speaker logistics, and run-of-show planning.
Day-of Volunteers
You will support event logistics on the ground, handling registration, room setup, and attendee coordination to ensure everything runs smoothly.
