The Labs

Whether as a mentor, a day-of volunteer, or a volunteer lead building the Labs itself, there’s plenty of room to jump in and roll up your sleeves.

Mentors help by:

• Helping Upskillers go deep on a theme with subject-matter knowledge (health, climate, education)

• Unblocking Upskillers who need technical guidance, from prompt engineering to leveraging AI for research to deploying their first app

And volunteers for the Labs itself help us build the engine that powers all of this:

• Programming volunteers create the organization and systems the make the Open Lab possible

• Event volunteers make the logistics of our recurring events run smoothly
